How long are Tarka classes?

During the holidays, classes are 90mins. During term time, they are 60mins, unless specified otherwise.

What is the maximum class size?

12x children for 3½ – 5 years and 10x children for 2½ – 3½ years

Can my child 'drop in' without booking?

Only if it has been pre-arranged with Tarka. Please get in touch if, for any reason, you are unable to book.

Am I able to stay and watch my child?

Whilst we strongly encourage ‘drop off’ for our classes, parents/carers are welcomed to stay if they wish. Please contact us prior to the commencement of the class you wish to stay.

My child has allergies, will he/she be given a snack?

Yes—we provide fruit and water as a snack. Every parent/carer will have to complete a short registration form before the commencement of their child’s first class. Any allergies or other medical conditions should be listed here. It is then up to the parent/carer to keep Tarka up to date with any changes.

My child has learning difficulties and/or requires extra attention. Are they still able to attend Tarka Classes?

The instructor to child ratios are set to accommodate some inevitable disparity in ability within the class. Please don’t hesitate to get in touch to discuss any particular concerns.

Which adults will my child be interacting with?

Tarka is run by a team of young, charismatic professionals who are dedicated to bringing out the best in your child. All members of the team have considerable experience in both leadership and development, and look to apply these skill sets to the most malleable period in childs development. All members of our team are DBS, Child Protection, and pediatric first aid certified.

Am I able to change my original booking to a different class?

Yes. Provided the change is made more than 24hrs in advance of the commencement of a given class. Please see our cancellation policy within our Terms and Conditions for further guidance.

Will I be able to see what my child has been up to?

Please follow our social media links to see what we’ve been up to.
